Mementa was conceived with a clear intention: to create works that exist as philosophical sculptures, where artistry, symbolism, and technical mastery converge.  Our philosophy is rooted in memento vivere—remember to live—in deliberate contrast to memento mori. Emerging most
prominently in the Renaissance, memento mori jewellery bore skulls, coffins, and vanitas inscriptions. Rooted in stoic Christian
ideology, these pieces were intimate reminders of mortality, rendered in gold and enamel. Whilst memento mori asks us to remember death, Mementa is anchored in a more jovial ethos, shifting the focus towards presence. The Middle Ages led jewellery to contemplate transience, ours celebrates it. Each piece is conceived to evoke joy, luminosity, and affirmation—wearable manifestations of positivity, spirituality, and meaning. To wear them is an intentional act: a quiet invocation of brightness and abundance. Symbolism remains central. Drawing from Hindu beliefs and esoteric traditions of materials, each element is chosen for resonance as much as rarity. Gold embodies solar energy, pearls the tranquillity of the moon, diamonds the wealth, love and vitality of Venus.
